12 LPG Cylinders Seized in Udaipur Crackdown

Udaipur : In a statewide campaign aimed at curbing the misuse and illegal refilling of domestic LPG cylinders, a joint team led by the District Supply Officer, Manish Bhatnagar, conducted a surprise inspection at a firm in Reti Stand area of the city on Friday. The team seized 12 LPG cylinders and other equipment.

District Collector, Arvind Poswal, had earlier directed the formation of tehsil-wise inspection teams to intensify the crackdown on such illegal activities.

Following a tip-off about the misuse of domestic LPG cylinders and illegal refilling, the inspection team raided the firm, M/s Taj Car Bazar, and seized 12 domestic gas cylinders and two motors with nozzles used for refilling domestic gas.

The District Supply Officer informed that action will be taken against the offenders under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955. The department will intensify the campaign in both rural and urban areas in the coming days.

The inspection team included Enforcement Officer Vijay Singh, Dr. Nisha Mundra, and Enforcement Inspector Mahendra Kumar Patidar.
