Madhya Pradesh Begins Teacher Recruitment Exams for Over 10,000 Posts Across 13 Cities

BHOPAL — April 20, 2025: The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (ESB) has officially commenced the statewide teacher recruitment exams for more than 10,000 vacancies starting today, April 20. The examinations will be conducted across 13 major cities in the state and will continue until April 29, 2025.

A total of 10,756 teaching positions — including primary and secondary school teachers in general subjects as well as music, dance, and instrumental arts — are being filled through this competitive selection process. The first phase kicked off with the Hindi subject exam for secondary school teachers, with subsequent exams scheduled for Social Science, Science, Mathematics, Sanskrit, and English.

Over 1.6 Lakh Candidates Compete for Teaching Jobs

According to ESB officials, approximately 1.60 lakh candidates are appearing for the exams. The recruitment tests are being conducted in two shifts per day:

  • First Shift: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM

  • Second Shift: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Candidates are advised to reach the examination centers well in advance as latecomers will not be permitted entry under any circumstances.

Mandatory Guidelines for Exam Candidates

To ensure a smooth and secure examination process, the ESB has outlined the following rules:

  • Original Photo ID is Mandatory: Candidates must carry one of the following:

    • Voter ID

    • Aadhaar Card

    • PAN Card

    • Passport

    • Driving License

  • Biometric Verification Required: Entry and participation in the exam require mandatory biometric authentication.

  • Black Ballpoint Pen Required: Only black ballpoint pens will be allowed inside the exam hall.

  • Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, log tables, and any unauthorized materials are strictly banned from the exam premises.

  • Admit Card Requirement: A printout of the admit card, downloaded from the ESB website, must be brought along with valid ID.

  • Exam Hall Rules: No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam hall before the end of the session.
