A traveller flying out of Sharjah International Airport experienced an unexpected moment of kindness after realizing mid-flight that he had forgotten to pay for his meal at a terminal restaurant. What followed was a spontaneous chain of goodwill that left both the passenger and the public touched.
After discovering the unpaid bill, the passenger recorded a video message during his journey. He asked Sharjah airport staff to contact him so he could settle the amount on his return.
“I was ready to pay as soon as I got back,” the passenger said to a media outlet.
But even before he landed, the Sharjah Airport Authority had already covered the cost of the meal. The passenger later received a call informing him that the bill was taken care of.
The act of kindness didn’t stop there. According to the passenger, multiple staff members at the airport continued reaching out, offering to pay the bill themselves even after knowing it had already been handled.
He thanked the airport and its employees for their kind gesture, expressing surprise at their warmth and willingness to go above and beyond.
