US President Donald Trump is fully fit to execute his duties, White House physician, Captain Sean Barbabella wrote in a memo which was released by the White House on Sunday.

"President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State," Captain Sean Barbabella has written in the memo.

"A comprehensive neurological examination revealed no abnormalities in his mental status, cranial nerves, motor and sensory function, reflexes, gait and balance. Cognitive function, assessed using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), was normal with a score of 30 out of 30. The patient also completed the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 ad Generealized Anxiety Disorder for screening of depression and anxiety, respectively, with scores within the normal range for both," Captain Sean Barbabella says in the report. The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) is a quick, 10-minute screening tool used to detect mild cognitive impairment and early signs of dementia. It evaluates various cognitive domains including memory, attention, language, executive functions, visuospatial abilities, and orientation. The test consists of tasks like drawing a clock, naming animals, recalling words, and connecting numbers and letters in sequence. Scored out of 30, a result below 26 may indicate cognitive issues, though factors like education level can affect interpretation. MoCA is widely used by healthcare professionals due to its simplicity, sensitivity, and effectiveness in catching cognitive decline at an early stage.

As per the memo, the US President's head/ear/nose/throat has "no significant abnormalities," except the "exception of scaring [sic] on the right ear from a gunshot wound."

The memo also mentioned that Trump stands 75 inches tall and weighs 224 pounds, indicating a notable weight loss since his first term. For comparison, in 2019, Trump’s doctor had reported his weight as 243 pounds.

The report mentions he underwent colonoscopy in 2024 that revealed diverticulosis and a benign polyp. "His medical history is notable for well controlled hypercholesterolemia, seasonal allergies, a history of COVID infection, well managed rosacea, actinic keratosis, benign nevi, diverticulosis and a benign colon polyp," the report mentions. It adds that the US President had an appendectomy at the age of 11 and a bilateral cataract surgery in the past. He is currently under medications for cholesterol management, cardiac prevent and a skin condition.

The report says his active lifestyle continues to contribute significantly to his well being and also mentions his frequent wins in golf in the report that confirms his 'excellent cognitive and physical health'.
