Barbie actor America Ferrera is reportedly contemplating leaving the country as she is devastated that Donald Trump won the election, a DailyMail report claimed. She will not be abandoning Hollywood but she wants her family to be in the UK. Daily Mail reported citing an insider that America is planning to move to South West London and she started looking for a private school there earlier.
"America is sick that Donald Trump is President again. She is devastated that Kamala lost. She thought the country she lived in was better than that," the report said. "She is going to continue to have a presence in the US for work purposes and to fight for Latinas and women, but she will be overseas for family and to benefit her kids' education," it said.
"She wants them to have the best opportunities possible and to her, being overseas for that is what is important. 'She's not abandoning the US, she is prioritizing her life and focusing on the importance for her kids."
On her Instagram, America shared a post that echoed her disappointment over the election result. "Leaving this here so you have it to come back to today. This country has always been brutal, and there has always been as un who have been fighting it. The beauty that comes out of the fight, the way our love for each other changes the world around us is real and glorious and unrelenting. It cannot be caged, tamed, erased or lost. You are part of that tradition. I know you are starting to know this, but really "know" it now. Art is making something no one asked for -- not because they didn't need it, but because they didn't "know" they needed it until you made it, until it helped them breathe and dream and find a way forward.
