At least 12 Tunisians including three children died on Monday after a migrant boat capsized off the coast of the southeastern island of Djerba , said a judicial official.
Twenty-nine people were rescued after the boat went down at dawn, Medenine court spokesman Fethi Baccouche told news agency AFP.
Baccouche also said that the dead also included five men and four women.
The cause of the sinking was still unknown.
