Send Push
It is not the first time when stories about food delivery partners stir up the internet, triggering a debate between compassion and theft! Yes, you read it right, in a shocking CCTV clip that surfaced on social media platform X, where the man was caught stealing a pair of sports shoes, leaving the internet divided on this unexpected theft. Here’s all you need to know about this theft.

The footage
The CCTV footage was recorded in a residential building in Noida, where the man is seen coming down from a staircase after completing a delivery. Moving towards the door, he stopped and picked up a pair of shoes from the rack placed on the entrance of a house, put it in his bag, and stepped out smoothly. This video left some furious, while others expressed sympathy and concern over his need for shoes.

About the footage
It was not a random pick; the delivery boy inspected two pairs of shoes; at first he picked up a pair of sandals from the top of the rack, then picked up a second pair of shoes from beneath, which he looked carefully at, took a moment to decide, and kept in his bag and left. This incident sparked a debate, leaving netizens divided, while some netizens are backing his act as an act of need, while others are looking at this incident as a crime and are speculating it as a common occurrence as if the CCTV was placed directly towards the shoe rack. The video has gone viral, leading to debates about compassion and theft!

One of the users wrote that “it could be that this poor guy is very needy and really needs a pair of shoes, and maybe it won’t make a difference to the owner. But stealing is not good. Maybe he thought that if he asked for the shoes, the owner would refuse, so that’s why he decided to steal, perhaps.”
Another use said, ‘It is very common. I have heard many stories where Swiggy Zomato delivery boys come for food delivery, and sometimes they steal away taps and gas cylinders.”

A third said, “CCTV camera is watching you..but due to helmet, I couldn’t see his face.” A user wrote, “CVC cameras helped in finding the culprit.”
