"The specter of Deion Sanders is hovering over this”: Shedeur Sanders is still unpicked by any NFL team

How much can a father interfere in his son’s business? Who will decide that? Who’s got control over that? - These might be some of the concerns of the teams trying to pick the 2025 NFL Draft prospect, Shedeur Sanders . The son of NFL legend - Deion Sanders .

The 2025 NFL draft started way before it even began for Shedeur Sanders, with Sanders wanting Tennessee Titans , and with so many other potential teams, like New York Giants , Las Vegas Raiders , Cleveland Browns , New York Jets , Pittsburgh Steelers , and New Orleans Saints pouring head over heels interest in him.

But where does this end? Which team will finally get Shedeur Sanders? Nobody knows. Amidst uncertainty, Chris Broussard on the First Things First show said it out loud. What did Broussard say? What is so strikingly similar to Shedeur Sanders' current situation, which is likely the longest period of uncertainty he has faced till now?

Chris Broussard says teams are worried about how Deion Sanders will critique them

The topic of discussion for the First Things First show was, “Are people over-thinking on Sanders?” Chris Broussard, American Sports Analyst and Commentator for Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports Radio, shared, “The specter of Deion Sanders is hovering over this. I don’t care what anybody says. I think it’s undeniable.

I think teams are concerned (about) what is Deion Sanders gonna be saying, critique, how is he gonna critique our team, and the way we are handling Shedeur(Sanders). If Shedeur’s struggling, he(Deion) is gonna have a mic in front of his face every day at Colorado. He’s going to say something. I think that’s a concern.”

Chris Broussard mentioned that teams are worried about Deion Sanders coaching his son, Shedeur Sanders' team

Chris Broussard on the First Things First show expressed, “And you know what the other concern is, could Deion Sanders be coaching the team? Like, if they struggle, whether a team will really do that or not, the fans will think that talks shows like ours will talk about that.

Deion is a legitimately good coach, so he should be in the running in any way. I think those things have teams - it’s kind of like you said - the wrong things they are looking at. But I do think those are all factors in it.”

Fans discuss Chris Broussard’s statement about Deion Sanders impacting Shedeur Sanders’ decision for the 2025 NFL Draft

One fan wrote, “The sooner people realize Shedur isn't that good, and he's coasting off his last name and his daddy the faster we can move on”

Another fan wrote, “Then it REALLY matters where Shedeur is drafted! If it's LV or Pittsburgh there's no way they try anything like that because of Brady's relationship with Shedeur & Deion & there's no way Deion takes on Tomlin because he & Shedeur would lose and look bad!”

A third fan wrote, “If it's NYJ I think Glenn would shut it down immediately! See the recounting of the meeting Rodgers had w/him as evidence. He knows what he wants & will accept & seems like a take no bs coach!”

A fourth fan wrote, “If it's NYG Daboll & Schoen are on such thin ice it could get ugly! New Orleans with Kellen Moore could get ugly unless there are some veteran coaches on the staff to back him up!”

A fifth fan wrote, ““Prime” ought to be most concerned about his own team if they end up struggling with all the new pieces”

A sixth fan wrote, “And shadeur isn’t that good. And shows many red flags such as having no grit and even less mental toughness.”
