The NBA is in its playoff season before it comes to a close in June. And with it, the action has not just intensified on the court but in the stands as well. The fans have become more aggressive and not just support their team when it plays on the home ground but also make it difficult for the rival team when it steps into their territory for a game. The Los Angeles Lakers are once again set to face the Minnesota Timberwolves at the latter’s home ground, Target Center, and Lakers coach JJ Redick says the players need to embrace it no matter what.
JJ Redick on dealing with the crowd during NBA matchesSometimes the fans get overboard when it comes to booing the rivals, and sometimes the players, too, give them a response. Talking to the media about playing in front of a hostile crowd, Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick said, "Just the feeling you get of people hating you and yelling at you and getting the opportunity to silence them, but also kind of ruin their day."
"They pay all that money, they wore their T-shirt, grabbed their towel... There's just something awesome about winning on the road in the playoffs. You got to really embrace it. And if you embrace it, whatever dopamine hit you could want in your life, you get it," he added.
The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves on their home ground at the Crypto.com Arena in Game 1 of Round 1 of the NBA playoffs . They took revenge in Game 2 but once again lost to the rivals in Game 3. It remains to be seen if they are able to level the series in Game 4 at the Target Center on Sunday.

Not just fans, several Hollywood celebrities, too, take to the stands to watch their favorite NBA stars in the playoffs. In Game 2, actor-comedian Jack Black was sitting among the audience when he took the opportunity to recreate LeBron James’ “It’s our ball” moment from five years ago. He did it so well that the video went viral just like the original one featuring James.
