Fortnite’s Chapter 6 Season 3 update has crash-landed, and it’s out of this world. Packed with lightsabers, Force powers, iconic Star Wars locations, and juicy free rewards, “Galactic Battle” is shaping up to be one of the most cinematic seasons yet. Whether you’re here for the gear or just to flex a lightsaber mid-air, here’s everything you really need to know!

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 Map ChangesForget the old POIs — four massive new areas have arrived, and they’re as dramatic as you’d expect:

  • First Order Base: A snowy mountain fortress with TIE Fighters and guarded loot. Great for aggressive plays.
  • Resistance Base: Tucked deep into greenery, this one’s stealth-central. Go here if you like sneaky rotations.
  • Outpost Enclave: Smuggler central. Chaotic, gritty, and full of fast fights.
  • Vader Samurai’s Solitude: Yes, it’s as cool as it sounds. Face off against Darth Vader himself for mythic rewards.
  • Each POI offers unique advantages, so rotating between them will give you better loot diversity and tactical leverage.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 LightsabersLightsabers are back — but this time, they’re evolved. Depending on who you train with (via in-game holograms), you unlock different lightsaber colors and Force powers:

    • Blue Lightsaber + Force Push (Train with Rey)
    • Red Lightsaber + Force Lightning (Train with Palpatine)
    • Purple Lightsaber + Force Pull (Train with Mace Windu on May 8)
    • Red Saber + Saber Throw (Defeat Darth Vader Samurai)
Wielding a lightsaber also gives you a speed boost, double jump, and zero fall damage. And don’t worry — Force abilities stick with you, not the weapon. Once you learn them, you’re set.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 New WeaponsIf you love blasters, this season’s a dream. Here’s what you can arm yourself with:

  • DL-44 Blaster Pistol (Reliable sidearm)
  • CR-2 Blaster (Fast SMG-like damage)
  • ACP & BARM-ST12 Scatter Blasters (Close-range monsters)
  • DLT-19, IQA-11, A280-CFE, DC-15, F-11 — take your pick, each blaster suits a playstyle.
  • Thermal Imploder — Not a gun, but this throwable creates a vacuum and wrecks builds. Throw it and RUN.

  • Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 VehiclesTwo new flying machines just dropped in:

  • TIE Fighter: Fast and aggressive. Great for striking hard and escaping fast.
  • X-Wing: Balanced and agile — perfect for map traversal and mid-air dogfights.
  • You can now rule the sky and the ground. Good luck avoiding third parties in this chaos.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 Free Rewards & Battle PassEven if you skip the premium Battle Pass, you still get some sweet free Star Wars rewards just by playing. But if you do grab the Pass (1,000 V-Bucks or via Fortnite Crew), you unlock:

    • Apprentice Evie
    • Poe Dameron
    • Wookiee Team Leader
    • Emperor Palpatine
    • General Grievous (unlockable later in May)
No need to spend V-Bucks unless you want premium rewards. There’s a solid selection of free unlocks too, if you’re grinding without spending. Fortnite Crew members also unlock access to the LEGO, OG, and Music passes. That’s a LOT of cosmetics in one season.

What’s Coming Next? Here’s a rapid timeline of what to expect:

    • May 8: Leia, Luke & Han arrive. Plus, Mace Windu (Force Pull) and Darth Maul (Force Throw) via training.
    • May 15: Chewbacca joins with his Wookiee Bowcaster + Jawa Scatter Blaster added to the loot pool.
    • May 22: Mandalorian reinforcements. Recruit your squad and fly with Jetpacks. Dual WESTAR-34s and Amban Sniper added.
    • May 29: Star Destroyer Turbolaser becomes a playable event. One portal per match. Be the first to it.
    • June 7: Live event — the final face-off against Emperor Palpatine in Death Star Sabotage.
Final ThoughtsFortnite’s Chapter 6 Season 3 update doesn’t just feel like a new season; it’s a full cinematic event. The scale of Star Wars integration is massive, and every week adds something wild to explore, fight, or fly. Whether you're a casual player or a diehard Star Wars fan, this season's got enough Force to pull you back in.
