Jennifer Lopez's ex-husband Ojani Noa has come out to address the rumored divorce between the singer and husband Ben Affleck. He recently suggested in an interview that Lopez stay single for a while and find herself instead of getting into another relationship so soon. Ojani and Lopez were married in 1997; however, their marriage only lasted less than a year when they decided to divorce. Noa offered this advice due to his past experience with Lopez and his very short time with her being married.
Noa now age 50 said that Lopez needs to distance herself from romantic relationships for at least one year so that she can reflect on what has transpired. In case Lopez eventually meets someone, the relationship should remain private and out of the public eye, and she definitely should not marry in the near future. Noa made clear that his intention was not winning back her heart but a matter of Lopez taking care of herself.
Noa further added in his interview with Daily Mail that Lopez should focus more over the quality time she is spending with the person she is, rather than being hijacked by media attention. It should be found out from the person, as he believes that it's high time for Lopez to find out the real self and live as she is, free from pressures hovering over her all the time from the pressures of public life.
Interestingly, only days after Noa's comments, Lopez and Ben Affleck were spotted together in the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills with their children, Page Six reported. The news about their divorce broke while the couple was reportedly kissing and holding hands over brunch. Therefore, people speculate that perhaps they are still working out.
Lopez wed Affleck in July 2022, but trouble had been brewing ahead of their anniversary hitting its second mark. Even the Grammy-nominated singer/actress penned a chapter about the romance with Affleck in her February doc, The Greatest Love Story Never Told. Noa, talking with People, said he found that watching the doc made him see many of the same patterns unfolding between the partnership of Lopez and his own partner as there were in the relationship between Affleck and Lopez. He further added that Lopez always drew media attention, which he said she wanted right from the marriage ceremony down to the divorce ceremony.
In the documentary, however, Affleck narrated how he has learned to use a "give and take" move to navigate their relationship, which has assisted them in striking balance on their differences. Even some of the toughest tests posed before them, Lopez and Affleck's relationship remains an important spot for both the fans who regularly follow the couple and the media as well.
