Bhilwara: Three suspects involved in April 17 incident in the Bhainsrorgarh area of Chittorgarh district where a jeweller from Rawatbhata was robbed of gold, silver jewellery, Rs 5 lakh in cash, and a mobile phone, were arrested Friday.
They were presented in court, where they were remanded to police custody.
Chittorgarh SP Sudhir Joshi stated that on April 17, Paresh Soni, from Rawatbhata, was heading home on his motorcycle after closing his shop, Bhavna Jewellers, in Sigoli. On the way, four unknown assailants hit his motorcycle on the road near Shripura, assaulted him, and robbed him of gold, silver jewellery, Rs 5 lakh in cash, and a mobile phone. A case was registered at the Bhainsrorgarh police station, and an investigation began.
Given the seriousness of the case, Chittorgarh SP formed a special team under the supervision of Rawatbhata ASP Bhagwat Singh Hingad and DSP Rawatbhata Kamal Prasad Meena, led by Bhainsrorgarh SHO Lakshmichand Verma. With continuous efforts and technical support from the cyber cell team members Ramavatar and Ramnaresh, the team identified the suspects. They arrested Dilip Kanjar, from Mandawari in the Begun police station area, along with Raju Mewada, son of Manohar Lal Mewada, also from the Begun area, and Bablu Chaudhary, from Sigoli in Dhangaw police station, Neemuch district, MP.
