CM tells ministers & officials 'not to lower guard' after Indo-Pak ceasefire

Jaipur: Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Sunday directed ministers-in-charge, district administrators and village development officers in Rajasthan's border districts to maintain high alertness despite the India-Pakistan ceasefire announcement.

State ministers Jogaram Patel, Gajendra Singh Khimsar and KK Vishnoi conducted individual assessment meetings in Jodhpur, Bikaner and Barmer districts to assess readiness and security protocol implementation.

During his assessment of Jodhpur division, Patel stressed the need for continued vigilance. "The way Pakistan violated the international boundary in Rajasthan makes it clear that we must continue to keep a close watch. The day was peaceful so far, but we cannot take any chances," he said.

Patel reported providing the CM with comprehensive ground situation updates. "Presence of ministers and elected representatives in the border districts ensured better coordination with the local administration, state govt and national agencies," he said, adding that the govt was engaging with religious leaders and community influencers to maintain stability and build confidence in border regions.

In Bikaner, Khimsar conducted an official meeting to review the positioning of approximately 400 doctors across border districts as part of emergency preparations.

A senior govt official said, "The CM has mobilised doctors, medicines and ambulances in the border districts to deal with any emergency." Sharma is scheduled to lead a senior-level assessment meeting Sunday evening to evaluate the security situation and consider additional measures for strengthening border preparedness following the ceasefire.
