A tornado has been confirmed in Ligonier, Indiana, on Tuesday, as reported by the National Weather Service (NWS). Approximately 4:25 p.m., the tornado was sighted above Ligonier. It was heading northeast at a pace of 20 mph.
The NWS issued warnings for Noble, LaGrange, and Steuben counties in reaction to the tornado's existence. It was urged that locals in these locations take immediate cover. Rome City is predicted to be hit by the tornado at 4:45 p.m. Authorities warn that there are serious hazards associated with the tornado, including the possibility of damage to cars, roofs, and trees. Mobile houses are more susceptible to damage or even destruction. In order to guarantee safety, the NWS stresses that people should relocate to a basement or an inside area away from windows.Apart from the existing alerts, Paulding County is under a tornado warning that is valid until 6:45 p.m. This is on top of the current alert for Orland in Steuben County, which is scheduled to end at 6:30 p.m. The NWS has detected strong thunderstorms that have the potential to produce tornadoes, which adds to the region's unstable weather. Since then, the prior alert for the counties of Noble and LaGrange has been rescinded. It is advised that locals in the alerted regions be alert and seek shelter.
