Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher recently ended his social media hiatus as his account posted a picture after a long while. The former Ferrari and Mercedes driver also made his first public appearance in years since suffering a horror accident while skiing in 2013. For the first time in five months, Schumacher made a post on social media. Back in 2013, he had embarked on a ski trip in the French Alps but suffered an accident which left his skull fractured. Since then, there have been very rare updates on his health. Particularly, Michael's wife Corinna wishes to keep their family's details private.Michael Schumacher also attended his daughter's wedding which took place at their family's villa in Majorca. His daughter Gina-Maria tied the knot with Iain Bethke although the Schumacher family requested the guests to submit their phones upon their arrival to prevent pictures of Michael from being shared on social media.Since then for the first time, Schumacher has made a post on social media, the tweet celebrated one of his past glories, the anniversary of his first title with Ferrari and his third overall. In the picture, Schumacher's friend and then-Ferrari team principal Jean Todt can also be seen. The veteran in an emotional conversation about Michael had revealed to L'Equipe last December: "Michael is here, so I don't miss him. He is simply not the Michael he used to be." "He is different and is wonderfully guided by his wife and children who protect him. His life is different now, and I have the privilege of sharing moments with him. That's all there is to say," Todt revealed.
