Imtiaz Ali Lauds His Rockstar, Tamasha Actor Ranbir Kapoor: Good Mix Of Art And Craft

Imtiaz Ali and Ranbir Kapoor have collaborated in two of the most standout movies in their individual filmography - Rockstar and Tamasha. Imtiaz has credited both the movies' success to the actor for a large extent. The director called Ranbir "good mix of art and craft."In a recent interview with Buzzzooka Events, Imtiaz was asked to pick his favourite actor, someone knew his craft as well as the art of filmmaking, and has helped him in directing a film too. Imtiaz Ali calls Ranbir "good mix of art and craft""Ranbir Kapoor mein bahut acha mixture hai inn donon cheezon ka, technique bhi usko bahut innately aati hai. Magar, instinctive bhi hai woh. (Ranbir Kapoor has a good mix of both. He even knows the technique innately and he is instinctive too.) So, I think he’s a very good mix of both.," Imtiaz said.

About Rockstar and TamashaImtiaz first collaborated with Ranbir in 2011 film Rockstar. It followed the journey of Janardhan Jhaka from chasing his dreams as a regular college boy to becoming an international rock sensation Jordan, while falling for Heer on the way. How his love changes to devotion, along woth his inner turmoil after her marriage elsewhere and her eventual illness impacts him and his music forms the core of the movie.Imtiaz amd Ranbir joined hands as director-actor again for Tamasha (2015). It was the story of its leads Ved and Tara (Deepika Padukone) who meet in Corsica and develop a bond that traverses the rules of society. The movie explores the journey of Ved who has lost edge and his dreams in the race of life and set conventions of society. He is helped by Tara to rediscover himself and break free.
