Hurricane Milton's Strong Winds 'Suck Out' Water From Tampa Bay, Exposing Seabed | Videos

Hurricane Milton, having made landfall in Siesta Key in Florida, is heading towards Tampa Bay. Amid the strong winds induced by the hurricane, a video surfaced of Tampa Bay where it can be seen empty with the water sucked out from the harbour. The video, shot at night, shows dark patches of the seabed with the water above it completely gone.Here's the video:

Despite Hurricane Milton not hitting Tampa directly, its impacts were felt throughout the Tampa Bay area, where massive storm surges and powerful winds of around 120 mph were witnessed. The Tampa Bay area is around 70 miles from Siesta Key, a barrier island in Sarasota County where the ye of the storm made landfall.Milton is moving southwards at a speed of 15 mph towards southern Florida, from where it is expected to exit into the Atlantic. While it hit Siesta Key at around 9 p.m. Wednesday night, it could still be a few hours before the eye reaches Tampa.Meanwhile, more than 130 tornado watches were issued throughout Wednesday across Florida as the outer bands of the Milton kept passing through the Sunshine State. Several twisters were spotted across the state, with users on social media sharing photos and videos. Large funnel clouds were seen in several places, including Fort Myers and Palm Beach County, to name a few.More than 1 million homes and businesses in Florida were without power Wednesday night, according to PowerOutage.us. The most outages occurred in Sarasota County, where Hurricane Milton made landfall, and in nearby Manatee County.
