Euphoria Season 3 is due to begin production in early 2025. All the main actors on the show, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, and Hunter Schafer, are due to begin filming for other major projects in the first half of the year. Reports have suggested that the show will not return due to uncertainty in production. However, HBO, which produces the Emmy-nominated series, issued a statement denying any claims of cancellation. Here's what we know so far.
Euphoria Season 3 is not cancelledJournalist Jeff Snieder also shared on X, formerly Twitter, "Hearing Euphoria is, indeed, dead at HBO and that everyone is walking away from the show and leaving it where they left it. Could always revisit down the line years later, but no 2025 shoot planned anymore. It sounds like this is it, folks."
After several outlets and reporters began stating that Euphoria had been cancelled, HBO issued a statement to The Guardian. It read, “Euphoria is going into production in 2025. Nothing has changed." Created by Sam Levinson, the second season of the teen drama premiered in January 2022. Production was delayed from last year’s WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes; the show also suffered dual personal losses with the deaths of actor Angus Cloud and producer Kevin Turen in 2023.
