Chennai: Residents have been enduring hot and sweaty conditions as daytime temperatures increased by 2 degrees Celsius to 3 degrees Celsius for consecutive days. On September 16, residents can expect generally cloudy skies with light rain in the area. The temperature will range from a minimum of 28 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 38 degrees Celsius.

Chennai Weekly Weather ForecastFrom September 17 to September 21, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy with temperatures ranging from a minimum of 27 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 38 degrees Celsius. The skies will generally be partly cloudy, offering some respite from the rain seen earlier in the week. Daily temperatures will remain consistent, providing a stable and warm atmosphere throughout this period.

While isolated areas of the state are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall over the next few days, maximum temperatures in some pockets of Tamil Nadu are likely to be 2-3 degrees Celsius above normal.Madurai recorded the highest temperature in Tamil Nadu at 39.8 degrees Celsius, while Erode had the lowest minimum at 20 degrees Celsius. Other cities also experienced high temperatures: Karur at 38.5 degrees Celsius, Nagapattinam at 38.8 degrees Celsius, Palayamkottai at 39.5 degrees Celsius, and Tiruchirappalli at 38.7 degrees Celsius.
