The rainfall forecast for India indicates that conditions are becoming favorable for the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, and parts of Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh in the next 2-3 days. Additionally, a cyclonic circulation persists over northeast Assam, impacting the weather in the northeastern regions.

Rainfall Forecast for East & Northeast India

The rainfall forecast for India predicts fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall over northeastern states throughout the week. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya, with isolated heavy showers forecast for Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

South Peninsular India Rainfall Predictions

According to the rainfall forecast for India, regions like Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana will experience scattered light to moderate rainfall. Heavy rainfall is likely in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry between October 1-4, while Kerala and Mahe will see heavy rain from October 1-3.

No Significant Rainfall for Northwest, West, and Central India

In contrast to the heavy downpours in the south and northeast, the rainfall forecast for India predicts no significant rainfall in the northwest, west, and central India for the upcoming week, signaling drier conditions in these regions.
