Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw conducted a Viksit Bharat Samvad with industrialists, traders, and citizens at Iskcon Fern in Bhavnagar, alongside Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Minister of State Smt. Nimuben Bambhaniya. The event focused on India’s robust economic trajectory under the leadership of Prime MinisterNarendra Modi, highlighting that while global economies saw post-pandemic slowdowns, India’s growth rate continues to rise. As of March 31, 2025, the Indian economy is valued at ₹331 lakh crore, ranking it fourth globally.
Shri Vaishnaw emphasized India’s rising global stature through indigenous advancements like the Vande Bharat trains and its leadership in electronics and semiconductor manufacturing. He cited India’s transformation from a nation with no recognition in electronics to a global manufacturing hub worth $150 billion.
Local concerns were addressed as citizens engaged directly with the Minister. He assured resolution of FTR-related issues and announced the development of a container port in Bhavnagar. Responding promptly to a proposal for an IT park, he took immediate steps to initiate action via STPI.
Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya appreciated the Railway Minister’s strong bond with Bhavnagar and praised the event as a valuable platform to share progress and future development plans. Smt. Nimuben Bambhaniya thanked him for his dedication to enhancing the region’s infrastructure and addressing local needs.
The event saw participation from MLAs, civic officials, and community leaders. It concluded with a ceremonial honor for Shri Vaishnaw by local associations, celebrating his efforts in empowering Bhavnagar and supporting India’s development journey.
