The UK's capital is often thought as the centre of Russian ex-pat life in the UK, and is sometimes referred to as "London-grad" or "Moscow-on-the-Thames". Some estimates put the number of Russian speakers living in London as high as 300,000 - this includes many from former Soviet states.
However, Russians are not just confined to the UK's capital city and can be found in many other parts of the British Isles. According to the 2011 census, the town with the highest percentage of Russian speakers among its overall population is Boston in Lincolnshire. Boston has a population of around 70,500 people, of whom 1.87% are Russian speakers.
The 2011 census also found that about 13% of the town was born elsewhere in the EU - largely East European migrants who arrived after 2004.
Many - particularly from countries like Poland and Lithuania - came to Boston to work in agriculture as fruit and vegetable pickers.
The town has a proud historical legacy and is set in beautiful natural surroundings, making it a great place to visit. During the 12th century, it was home to one of the most important ports in England, contributing massively to the country's international trade during medieval times.
Overflowing with local heritage, Boston boasts a selection of stunning historic buildings. Perhaps its most iconic landmark is St. Botolph's Church, second only to Lincoln Cathedral as Lincolnshire's most outstanding architectural masterpiece.

The quaint Queen Anne-era manor Fydell House has enchanting gardens with delightful flower displays throughout the summer.
Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and peaceful coastlines, Boston is also adored for its lush green spaces and parks.
Nature enthusiasts should make sure to include a trip to Frampton Marsh, located near the town. The Marsh provides close views of the abundant birdlife of The Wash - the biggest bay in England.
Avocets, Redshanks and Skylarks can all be seen in summer, with thousands of ducks gathering on the freshwater scrapes in winter.
