Storm Floris battered parts of northern England and Scotland earlier his week with high winds and, in some areas, rain. Fences are often the first to fall in strong gusts, especially if they aren't properly supported. However, Amazon shoppers have praised some fence posts as being "sturdy" and easy to install.
The fence posts are also discounted by 17%, down from £35.99 to just £29.99.
The steel supports are designed to keep fence posts upright and secure, reports the Mirror. According to the brand, you don't need to worry about digging; instead, the posts can be hammered into the ground using a mallet, which they say takes a "matter of minutes".
They are described as being powder-coated to ward off rust and built to resist breaking or warping over time, making them perfect for long-term protection. They'd also be suitable for shaky railings.
The fence posts have earned a 4.6-star average rating based on customer reviews.
One purchaser commented: "I bought these to repair two fence posts that were starting to rot at ground level. Good sturdy product and installed each in about five minutes using a 5lb hammer and a block of wood to protect the repair stake from the hammer blows."
However, they added: "You may struggle if you don't have a heavy hammer. The repair stakes are not cheap, but a lot less expensive and much easier than replacing fence posts."
In the meantime, another customer wrote: "Does exactly what it should do." Someone else said: "Great for a small job."
A further reviewer awarded it a five-star evaluation, but added: "Easy to use, but just make sure it goes in the ground straight."
Meanwhile, Wickes also offers a similar product, the Steel Fence Repair Spur for £21 each. One satisfied customer said: "Great product, easy to use and works well", reports the Mirror.
B&Q also has its own two-pack set of fence posts, priced at £45.95.
