'Real reason' Princess Kate snaps released pictures of George, Charlotte and Louis

The Princess of Wales often snaps the publicly-released pictures of her three children to "help keep paparazzi at a distance", according to an expert.

Praising the royal for doing so, the Telegraph's royal editor Camilla Tominey previously said: "The paparazzi - there's no market anymore because the Duchess comes out with her own family photos and they're far more valuable to the press than images taken at a long lense."

As reported by the Mirror, she added: "That's how The Cambridges (as they were then known) are going to strike the balance, they're going to give in order to receive a degree of privacy back.

"Why would any newspapers or magazines want to run grainy long-lens images of the royals in private when they themselves are willing to serve up crystal clear Instagram-style shots?"

She continued: "Of course there still is, and always will be, a place for experienced lensmen and women to capture the big royal moments. However, it has always been these more candid camera shots that the public has craved.

"When it comes to seeing the 'real' royals behind their public personas, the Duchess is fast becoming the monarchy's leading chronicler of modern royal life."

The Princess of Wales has previously been credited as the photographer behind many of the children's milestone pictures - including ones on their birthday and the start of school.

One picture previously captured Louis - now aged six - looking lively as he sat on a red children's bike poised for his first day at nursery school.

Kate previously took an adorable snap of George perched on a Land Rover back in 2021 in honour of his eighth birthday. This snap was seen as a touching tribute to his late great-grandfather Prince Philip who had a fondness for the vehicle.
