has been told that he has no future at by former Red Devil Paul Parker. The Dane has put up disappointing numbers this season and generally failed to live up to his lofty price tag since landing at Old Trafford in the summer of 2023, but Parker feels that others in the United dressing room should also take some responsibility for his underwhelming performances.

Hojlund managed 16 goals in all competitions last campaign, but he is on course to finish in single digits this term, having netted only three times in the . Speculation around part-owners looking to sign a striker suggests that the 22-year-old's days as a regular starter could be numbered.

And Parker, who made more than 100 appearances for United during the 1990s, believes that Hojlund's time at the club is drawing to a close. "I don't believe Rasmus Hojlund has a future at Manchester United," he told SpilXperten. "I think he's done at the club.

"It might start as a loan move, but I find it hard to see him returning. His first season was somewhat acceptable if you look at the number of goals across all competitions, but he never got into a good consistent rhythm, and this season has been well below par - for both him and the club."

Hojlund is still young by Premier League striker standards, and he arrived at United under the weight of the great expectations that came with his price tag.

Sacked Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag was believed to be the driving force behind his big-money move from Atalanta. And while Hojlund put up respectable numbers under the Dutchman, they have been dropped since Ruben Amorim replaced him.

Parker believes that those tasked with setting up chances for Hojlund must also take some of the flak, with two players singled out. He said: "I think it would be unfair to make [Hojlund] the scapegoat, because it's the whole team around him that has failed.

"[His team-mates] have let him down. It involves many players, but to name just a couple, [Alejandro] Garnacho and [Marcus] Rashford have especially been major obstacles for Hojlund.

"He certainly doesn't owe them a thank-you speech if he leaves the club, because they bear a large share of the responsibility for how things have gone."
