Only Connect host Victoria Coren Mitchell lands huge new TV job away from BBC Two quiz

host has landed an exciting new job away from the quiz show. The 52-year-old broadcaster has hosted the long-running teatime quiz show since 2008 - but now the mum-of-two has teamed up with and stars.

It has been confirmed that Victoria will be a guest host of . She will appear on the popular show on Friday, May 23. Alongside Victoria will be guest panellists comedian and broadcaster Janet Street-Porter. Janet is a regular on the panel show Loose Women and has appeared on the BBC panel show 17 times before.

Meanwhile Chris has appeared on Strictly Come Dancing last year with pro partner Dianne Buswell. The pair lifted the glitterball trophy in 2024 after they made history as the show's first ever blind contestant to win the show.

It's fair to say Victoria is known for her sharp wit and professionalism in the small screen. Her BBC quiz show has seen over 500 episodes across 20 series of the tournament-type format show in which teams compete by finding connections between seemingly unrelated clues.

Away from the cameras, Victoria and Peep Show star David Mitchell are the proud parents of two daughters. But back in 2012 the doting mum admitted to the Standard that she hadn't experienced the "yearning" some women feel to start a family.

She told the outlet: "I never had that point that a lot of my friends went through in their early to mid-twenties when they decided that they absolutely wanted children. But I am slightly obsessed with children [so] I absolutely still might."

The TV presenter also explained how her work at the time - which involved "running around the world playing poker and staying out until five in the morning - was somewhat at odds with motherhood.

However, that all changed when she met writer and actor David. The couple met through a mutual friend and fellow comedian David Baddeil who was convinced the two would end up tying the knot.

As he predicted, the TV stars tied the knot in 2012 and welcomed their two daughters Barbra and June in 2015 and 2023.
