Meet the Liverpool target who could persuade Mo Salah to sign contract extension

That's not to mention the one goal he's already scored in the Europa League this season, with Marmoush understandably garnering the attention of top clubs across the continent.

What's more, Marmoush has proved himself as more than just an out-and-out striker, with the Egyptian having notched up six assists across all competition - a tally that takes his overall G/A total this season to an impressive 15.

And given the early signs from Arne Slot's time as Liverpool boss, a striker who is capable of being involved in more than just putting the ball in the back of the net.

Signing one of the hottest prospects in Europe would represent a step in the right direction for Liverpool and could be enough to persuade Salah to extend his contract, especially if it's an attacking talent he's already got experience working with.

It could pose a problem for club-record signing Darwin Nunez, who is yet to impress under the tutelage Slot and has been subject to criticisms.

Nunez has started just one Premier League fixture under the Dutchman - a game that did yield a goal for the Uruguayan striker.
