Luke Shaw could be about to walk away from Manchester United after 11 years amid strong interest from Saudi Arabia, according to reports. The 30-year-old's role under Ruben Amorim going forward is uncertain following another injury-hit season, and a parting of ways could be on the horizon.

Shaw made just 12 appearances in all competitions last season, missing 62 games for club and country through three separate injuries. Amorim is expected to use Patrick Dorgu as his first-choice left wing-back this term, with summer arrival Diego Leon also making a strong early impression.

While Shaw is primed for more minutes on the left side of the back three, Lisandro Martinez, Ayden Heaven, Leny Yoro and Noussair Mazraoui can all also operate there.

According to The Sun, Shaw is aware of interest from Saudi Arabia and is ready to listen to offers as his United career nears its end.

The England international is under contract at Old Trafford until 2027, but it is claimed that he could be gone by January.

For now, Shaw is in Amorim's plans. He featured in United's 0-0 draw against Leeds United at the start of the pre-season schedule in Stockholm.

The experienced defender has also travelled to Chicago for the pre-season tour of the United States.

United will face West Ham United in New Jersey, Bournemouth in Chicago and Everton in Atlanta before Fiorentina visit Old Trafford to round off the friendlies.

The report adds that Shaw remains a popular figure in the dressing room, and he will be among the leaders at Amorim's disposal.

His £150,000-a-week wages also fit into the club's wage structure, although they represent a hefty outlay for a player so often unavailable.

Amorim is also said to be in no hurry to offload Shaw, like he is Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia.

However, Shaw reportedly understands he faces a difficult decision over his future in the coming months if he loses prominence.

Interested clubs could snag a bargain, given his injury record and drop in importance compared to Amorim's other options.

Shaw's current focus will be on remaining fit so he can challenge for a regular starting berth at United throughout the upcoming season.
