Eintracht Frankfurt boss Dino Toppmoller has revealed his ambition to manage Manchester United in the future. Toppmoller has exclusively plied his trade in Germany throughout his coaching journey thus far but has now publicly expressed his eagerness to prove himself at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim has proved to be a disappointing hire at United and has failed to relieve the mounting pressure surrounding his position. The Portuguese tactician has secured victory in merely 19 of his 48 fixtures since replacing Erik ten Hag last November, concluding a dismal 15th-place finish in his inaugural campaign.
Following their Europa League final defeat, Amorim was provided with over £200million worth of fresh signings during the summer transfer window, yet improvements remain elusive.
United currently occupy 11th position in the Premier League standings after claiming their second victory of the season, though they recently endured the humiliation of falling to Grimsby in the Carabao Cup.
Amorim continues to enjoy backing from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS at present, but he remains just another string of disappointing results away from that position shifting.
And Toppmoller has put himself forward should the United hierarchy ultimately seek a replacement.
"Basically it's a dream to be at Frankfurt. It's simply a fantastic club," he revealed on the Phrasenmaeher podcast.

"Here, as a teenager, I witnessed for the first time that my father was a Bundesliga coach. That naturally creates an emotional bond with the club.
"Thinking about abroad, I often played computer games as a child, always with one team: Manchester United. That would definitely be nice some day because it's an extraordinary club. When I was a teenager, Manchester United were along with Real Madrid the biggest club of all."
The former RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich assistant has claimed victory in 46 per cent of his fixtures since taking charge at Frankfurt in July 2023.
He has nurtured talents such as Omar Marmoush and Hugo Ekitike, both of whom have secured lucrative Premier League moves, whilst establishing Frankfurt as Champions League contenders.
The 44-year-old commands significant respect in Germany, and his squad impressed by demolishing Galatasaray 5-1 in their opening Champions League group encounter.
They currently sit sixth in the Bundesliga after claiming two victories and suffering two defeats from their initial four fixtures.
Amorim relieved some pressure with a 2-1 triumph over Chelsea in the league on Saturday and now confronts crucial encounters before the October international window.
United make the trip to Brentford this weekend before hosting Sunderland at Old Trafford the following week.
