Newly single pop star Katy Perry reportedly enjoyed a "dinner date" with Justin Trudeau whilst touring Canada. The Roar hitmaker is said to have been seen at a restaurant with the former Canadian Prime Minister earlier this week.
Speculation of a potential new romance comes after it was announced earlier this month that Katy, 40, had split from actor Orlando Bloom, 48. The 58-year-old politician went through his own high-profile separation in recent years too. Justin announced his separation from his wife Sophie Trudeau, 50, back in 2023.

Katy and Justin are said to have spent time together last night (July 28) while the singer-songwriter is on her latest world tour. The Lifetimes Tour headed to Canada last week with the star set to perform in Ottawa tonight (July 29) before taking to the stage in Montreal tomorrow (July 30).
Footage obtained by TMZ is said to show the pair dining together at Le Violon in Montreal last night (July 28). A source told the publication that the duo had some cocktails and shared several dishes together, with one of them said to have featured lobster.
They are said to have been greeted by the chef at one point, before heading into the kitchen to personally thank staff at the restaurant following their lavish meal. According to TMZ, co-executive chef Danny Smiles said there were no public displays of affection and that he didn't get "dating vibes".
TMZ has since released additional photos of the pair that reportedly show Katy and Justin out in Montreal an hour and a half before dining together. The outlet teased that they looked like a "couple" whilst walking through the city together. Express.co.uk has reached out to Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau's representatives for a comment.
Katy and her former fiancé Orlando announced their split earlier this month. The news came following speculation about their relationship, including that the couple had been planning "make or break talks" following a "rough patch".
Just weeks ago, representatives for Katy and Orlando - who share a daughter together - issued a joint statement to outlets like Page Six. It confirmed that they had officially parted ways, with their relationship now shifting to co-parenting.
The statement read: "Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting.
"They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect."
Justin announced that he had separated from his wife Sophie, who he shares three kids with, in August 2023, He issued a statement at the time, in which he said that they would remain a "close family" following their split.
He said: "Sophie and I would like to share the fact that after many meaningful and difficult conversations, we have made the decision to separate." Justin added that they would continue to have "deep love and respect" for each other.
Justin concluded: "As always, we remain a close family with deep love and respect for each other and for everything we have built and we will continue to build. For the well-being of our children, we ask that you respect our and their privacy."
