Jeremy Clarkson issues 'good news' announcement following farm lockdown

Jeremy Clarkson and the Diddly Squat team have issued some "good news" ahead of the weekend. It comes after the former Top Gear presenter was delivered crushing news last week. The popular Amazon Prime show, Clarkson's Farm, features the TV star's farm, Diddly Squat, which has recently been hit with TB. Then, Jeremy shared another heartbreaking development: one of the new puppies that his dog Arya gave birth to had died last week. He also stated that the farm will remain shut for "certainly two months because that's how long we have to wait before we do another test," but disclosed that the farm shop remained unaffected as "it's only cows that get affected by it".

The official Instagram page for Jeremy Clarkson's pub, The Farmer's Dog, has now delivered some positive news. Taking to social media, the team said: "Good news! The weather forecast for the weekend is looking strong - so we've put extra bookings on the decking! Hurry!"

Many fans have scrambled to confirm a booking at the popular pub. One person commented on the post: "I've been trying to book for this weekend since July 1st."

A second also commented: "Booked table for Sunday roast." A third person similarly chimed in: "Can't wait to be back soon."

Last week, Jeremy shared the heartbreaking news with fans with a crushing update on X, writing: "Bad news from Diddly Squat. We've gone down with TB. Everyone here is absolutely devastated."

Bovine tuberculosis - or bovine TB - is "caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium bovis (M. bovis), which is closely related to the bacterium that causes human and avian tuberculosis. The disease is respiratory and can be commonly transmitted "through nose to nose contact and also through contact with saliva, urine, faeces and milk".

The sad news came just hours after Kaleb shared emotional news of his own. He told followers that criminals had stolen his farm equipment, including one of his tractors and a post knocker, used for forcing fence posts deep into the ground.

There is yet to be a confirmed date for the fifth series of Clarkson's Farm. The show can be streamed now on Amazon Prime.
