Jentiren Jamir, a 23-year-old beauty queen, will represent Nagaland at the Femina Miss India 2024 pageant, which is set to take place on October 16 in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Jamir is participating in the beauty competition under the support of the Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN). She was the second runner-up in Miss Nagaland 2022 and completed her schooling at Jubilee Memorial School in Mokokchung. She holds a bachelor's degree from Tetso College, Chümoukedima, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Sociology, aspiring to become a social activist.

For Jamir, competing in Femina Miss India is not just a dream come true; it represents a significant milestone in her personal journey of self-discovery and growth. She expressed that this opportunity challenges her to push her limits and strive to be the best version of herself.

“My main goal in this competition is to use this platform to create meaningful social change. I want to advocate for the underprivileged and amplify the voices of marginalized individuals through direct support and awareness,” Jamir said. She believes engaging with these communities helps her understand the true essence of life and the importance of gratitude.

Jamir has also received training from Cocoaberry Talent and Academy in Mumbai, preparing her for this prestigious event. She stated, “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to participate in Femina Miss India. This experience allows me to grow both personally and professionally while connecting with inspiring individuals who share my passion for making a difference. I look forward to learning and creating lasting memories throughout this journey.”

In addition to her personal goals, Jamir aims to showcase the rich culture and values of Nagaland while embodying the principle of ‘Beauty with a Purpose.’ After being crowned Miss Nagaland second runner-up, she worked with marginalized communities through the Miss Nagaland BASN initiative.

She launched the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ project titled ‘Kindness Seed,’ which focuses on uplifting underprivileged groups and promoting kindness and empathy. “Her initiative inspires people to engage in acts of kindness, creating a ripple effect in communities around the world,” the release highlighted.
