The man-eating panther has killed three people in Gogunda area of Udaipur, after which the army has been called in. The forest department and the army are trying to catch the panther with special equipment, but have not been successful yet.

Udaipur. This is the first time in Rajasthan that the army has been called to control a wild animal. The forest department and the villagers have come on the back foot and now the army has come on the front foot with its special equipment. The news is from Gogunda area of Udaipur district, the city of lakes. In the forest of this area, a man-eating panther has started killing people. In just 2 days, it dragged three people into the forest and ate them.

Udaipur trembled with the terror of man-eating panther

Administrative officer Dr. Naresh Soni said that a small army contingent has been called in Chhala village late Friday night. Eight soldiers have arrived with special equipment. The panther has killed two men and a woman within two days in an area of 5 kilometers near the village. It has eaten many parts of their bodies. This same panther had also killed a woman passing by by dragging her into the forest about 12 days ago. Two days later, her family members could only find bones in her body.

The dreaded panther is being searched with binoculars and weapons

Apart from the army, forest department officials from Udaipur, Jodhpur and Rajsamand districts have also come to control this panther. They have set up five cages around the village, in which goats are kept. Forest department officials say that the panther is very clever. Its footprints have been seen near the cage, but it has not entered the cage. In the presence of this panther, people are coming out of their houses in groups. After evening, there is a curfew like situation in all the nearby villages. The army is searching for it with its special binoculars and weapons.
