A person missed his flight from Bangalore to Mumbai after Google Maps showed the wrong time duration. A person named Ashish Kacholia shared this incident on social media, and quipped, 'Life is relative.'

Kacholia claimed that Google Maps showed him the travel time as 1 hour 45 minutes, but in reality, it took him three hours to reach the airport, due to which he missed his flight from Bangalore to Mumbai.

After posting on X, many more people have shared their problems, and some people also said that it is not right to trust Google Maps' Travel Time now. A user has written, 'Google Maps is not reliable. It shows the wrong route as well as traffic.'

Similarly, due to the wrong information on Google Maps, some people have missed special events, while many people have complained that they are late for office because of the map. Now the question is why is this happening? Why does Google Maps start showing travel time or the wrong route?

GPS signal: If your phone has a signal, then the accuracy of Google Maps can also be affected due to a weak GPS signal.

Network coverage: The accuracy of Google Maps can be affected due to low network coverage in the phone.

Battery saving mode: Many times we turn on battery saving mode to save the phone's battery. Due to this, some functions of the phone do not work. Therefore, it may affect the accuracy of Google Maps.

Location history: If location history is turned off, then Google Maps may not show the correct time duration.

Device settings: Many times we keep some settings on or permissions off in the phone, due to which the accuracy of Google Maps can be affected.

On the other hand, there is never any complaint about Apple Maps of iOS. Like the rest of Apple's services, Apple Maps is also considered to be very accurate. Apple Maps is a web mapping service created by Apple Inc. As the default map system of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS, it tells the route and arrival time for driving, walking, cycling, and public transport navigation.
