This Morning star, Emma Kenny, looks overjoyed in adorable snaps after announcing she'd become a mum at 52 today. However, the mum-of-four, who sadly lost her own mum only a couple of weeks ago, admitted "it's really strange" that her new baby won't get to meet her grandparents following her dad's tragic death in 2019.
Taking to Instagram, sharing news of her daughter's safe arrival today, the psychologist posted a snap of herself cuddling Ella-Grey in hospital, telling fans the baby had "entered the world with a very loud cry". Emma was inundated with well wishes from her followers, who loved the family photos. However, the This Morning contributor, who is married to Pete, 34, admitted that it was "really strange" to know that the tot and her older sister would never meet their grandparents.

Captioning the post, Emma wrote: "I lost my mum suddenly a couple of weeks back, and it’s really strange knowing that neither of my babies will get to know their grandparents…..they would have loved them as my older boys did before them.
"Ella-Grey has been lying on me all day, she latched on immediately and is as wonderful as I imagined she would be…..but like her sister…..I am blindsided that she is a girl. So, now I have two very big boys of 20 and 22, and two tiny girls aged 1 day and 23 months."
Tragically, Emma's dad died in 2019 when he took his own life. Admitting she thought she would 'never be happy again', she continued: "When my dad took his life in 2019, I never thought I would be happy again, but in truth I couldn’t have been more wrong.
"I’ve learnt we are more than simply built to withstand suffering, we are programmed to learn, and grow, and develop courage through it. I cannot change what happened but I can embrace the gifts that grief brought me."
Following her emotional post, friends and family rushed to congratulate her on the baby's arrival as one wrote: "Massive congrats! You are such a massive inspiration :)."
Another added: "Awww congratulations to you both, your girls will be besties! It is hard when the younger ones don’t get to know your parents the same way as older siblings, I feel my youngest missed out on so much too, best wishes to your lovely family."
Former This Morning star Ruth Langsford also had a sweet message for Emma and her partner, writing: "Congratulations both".
Meanwhile, Atomic Kitten star, Natasha Hamilton, also shared: "So happy for you Emma - what a beautiful little girl, huge congratulations to you all xxx."
The TV star kept her pregnancy secret until last week – when she shared a post on her Instagram to reveal she was nine months pregnant.
Showing off her bump while filming herself stood in front of a mirror, Emma told her fans: "Last show before I give birth! 9 months pregnant, quite happy to go into labour on stage….so any of you with health care qualifications at my Killer Couples, Liverpool Empire show tonight please be prepared!"
Revealing her plans to return to work in just a few weeks, she continued: "Back on stage in September…..but for now it’s time for baby, 2 year old, filming YouTube and Facebook and going on a road trip to Italy the minute this babies fast track passport arrives! X."
