If there is one thing that's for sure, it's that the Middleton family sticks together.
Princess Kate, 43, might be a key player in the Royal Family, with second-to-none star power, but it's well known that she has always maintained her incredibly close relationship with her own family since marrying into the House of Windsor - including siblings Pippa and James.
While Kate was dressed to the nines for the state banquet thrown in honour of the visiting US President Trump and the First Lady Melania, her brother James was quick to comment when a photo of the future King and Queen was posted on their official social media page.
"Ready for the state banquet," the photo of William and Kate in their white-tie, couture glamour was captioned, along with emojis of the UK and US flags.

Her younger brother James was quick to show his support, with a simple four-word reaction to the glitzy photo marking President Trump's state visit.
"Proud to be British," James wrote, using the UK flag emoji in place of the word itself.
Kate stole the show at the State Banquet with her champagne gold lace evening coat by Phillipa Lepley, worn over a chic and minimalist silk crepe floor-length gown.
The hand-embroidered piece featured intricate rose and bloom motifs throughout, and she paired it with a pearl clutch handbag and a pair of gold cut-out Aquazurra pumps with a pointed toe.
She wore her hair down in loose waves, an unusual move for the Princess at such a high-profile event, and chose her go-to Lover's Knot tiara for the occasion.
President Trump heaped praise on Kate during the dinner, saying she was "so radiant and so healthy, and so beautiful," and adding that it was "really a great honour, thank you."
James Middleton, 38, has never been shy about the high esteem in which he holds his older sister.
When she bravely opened up in a solo video message to the nation, explaining that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing treatment which would force her to step back from public life for a time, James wrote beneath the video: "Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one with you too."
Speaking about her cancer diagnosis in a later interview, James opened up about the impact it had on them as a family, calling it a "challenging time".
He explained to the Times: "Being there for someone is such an important part, and it doesn't necessarily have to be on your terms, and it shouldn't be on your terms. It should be on their terms; unconditional: 'I'm not doing it for something in return. I'm doing it because I love you.'
"And that's the simplest way of really demonstrating love. You can do it in all these various fancy ways, but actually, you know, it is just generally being there."
Back in 2017, James faced some challenges of his own, suffering from depression. When the tables were turned and he was the one who needed help, Kate and Pippa didn't hesitate to do what they could to support their brother.
Even suffering from suicidal thoughts, he asked his family to come to therapy with him, and they quickly agreed.
"My sisters came to some of my therapy sessions. They've always been there during difficult times, and they were there at my side during the hardest times as well. For that, I am forever grateful," James wrote in an essay about the dark period of his life.
