Joanna Page has disclosed that her husband once cautioned her they were heading for "ruin" unless they made a crucial family choice. The Gavin and Stacey star's revelations emerged during a recent appearance on the Chris Evans Show on Virgin Radio, where she discussed something she has in common with the renowned broadcaster: a large family.
Joanna, who shares four youngsters - Eva, Kit, Noah, and Boe - with Emmerdale actor James Thornton, spoke with Chris, who has a large family himself, about her offspring, aged three, eight, 10 and 12.
It appears unlikely that more children are on the cards for Joanna, who previously revealed on Loose Women her choice to have her fallopian tubes tied in her mid-forties, though she contemplated reversing the procedure.

Chatting to Chris, the actress explained why she and James eventually chose against expanding their family further, suggesting it might have been down to being unable to "cope with it".

She revealed: “Well, we planned for four. I’m an only child, and so I was like, you know, if we have one, you’re lucky, you know. I don’t know how many we’re gonna get.
“But James, my husband, is one of four, so he was like, ‘Right, we’re going to go for four,’ and then we had two, and he said, ‘Right, that’s our lot; we can’t cope with it emotionally, mentally, financially. It’s going to ruin us.’”
Joanna continued: “And so yeah, so after three, it was just like, ‘Nope, that is it; that’s the end.’”
Last year, Joanna confessed that she'd "chatted" with her husbandabout the possibility of expanding their family, admitting that she still felt "very maternal" and had considered "fostering or adopting".
In an interview with Woman and Home magazine, she revealed: “I don’t regret having my tubes tied, and although I felt broody at the start of the year, I don’t any more. At the beginning of this year, I did a health check, which involved a scan that showed that my right ovary had packed up.”

Joanna further disclosed that there "wasn't anything left", and she had "no eggs". It was a moment that "felt huge" for her. She also shared that she'd been prescribed HRTpatches.
However, she confessed that she was afraid to use them as she thought it would result in her being unable to have any more children, despite previously having her "tubes tied".
During a discussion on Loose Women, Joanna revealed that she once looked into whether she could have her "tubes put back together". Discovering that it was possible, she told her husband.
She said: “I told James, and he just looked at me and went, ‘You what? What on earth are you going on about?’ So I will not be having any more. I’ve got my beautiful four children.”
You can next catch Joanna on Sunday Brunch on Channel 4 on Sunday, September 28, from 10am to 1pm.
