Dancing On Ice judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean stun crowds on farewell tour

Iconic ice skaters and have brought the house down as kicked off their farewell tour. The judges took to the ice at London's Wembley Arena on Saturday.

It marked 50 years of partnership and is set to be their last time they perform on ice together. Showcasing their skills, Jayne, 67, looked stunning in a purple ombre outfit. Christopher matched his partner with a stylish silk purple button-up shirt with tailored trousers.

Their time on the ice at the show saw them open with a new routine set to The Greatest Showman. They continued to stun the crowd with a number of fantastic routines and outfit changes.

The duo first came together in 1975 before stunning at the . On Saturday, they shared yet more unforgettable performances, which were met with praise online.

Their farewell tour, titled Torvill and Dean: Our Last Dance, is set to run until May 11. The dates will see the duo perform in London, Belfast, Newcastle, and Glasgow.

Speaking ahead of their finale, Chris explained they both felt it was the "right time" to stop skating. He said: "We're not spring chickens anymore," before saying the pair want to retire while they're still able to perform "to a certain degree".

The show will look back on their professional highlights and follow the skating duo as they prepare to say goodbye to their fans for the last time. and have appeared on Dancing on Ice since it launched in 2009, but bosses recently announced that the series has been axed amid falling ratings

The, Torvill & Dean: The Last Dance, will air later this year and give intimate insight into what it’s been like to live life as the UK’s greatest ever ice skaters.

It will also look back on their 50-year relationship and their desire to leave a lasting legacy. The duo recently told the : “We’re delighted that our farewell tour will be the subject of an ITV documentary.

"The programme will be filled with poignant and joyful moments as we plan, rehearse and perform our final skating journey together - all caught on camera by a film crew following us over many months as we bid farewell to our 50 year ice skating partnership.

"It’s fitting that this documentary will be broadcast on ITV, our TV home for the last two decades. We hope fans will enjoy this final opportunity to see us skate together."
