And the title celebrations have already started at Anfield, with Liverpool’s stars, staff and fans determined to make the most of them. Heading into the dressing room each player wore their own special edition Liverpool shirt with the word ‘Champions 24/25’ printed on the back.
Some elected to wear them backwards, with those words clearly on display for supporters. Meanwhile, others decided to drape their country’s flags over them during the celebrations. Academy graduate made his feelings for his boyhood club clear by tying a red scarf around his head.
Once back in the dressing room, the party really started. Some players chose to celebrate with bottles of beer, with boss Arne Slot also affording himself a drop to toast his outstanding debut season. Defender opted for something bigger though.

A video shared on social media showed him picking up a giant bottle of Champagne, shaking it and then spraying it all over his teammates, before breaking into a rendition of ‘campiones, campiones, ole, ole, ole!’
Speaking during Liverpool’s celebrations, he said: “The last time we won it was a stranger time, but I suppose we kind of got that feeling against Man United at home. It was pretty much done at that point with [being] 16 or 19 points clear. It’s not like quite clinching it and then obviously the paused. It was quite unique the way we did it.
“We enjoyed it, of course we did, but you can’t beat what we experienced today and how we went to the ground and the fans during and after the game. Nothing quite compares to that and I’m glad we got to experience it that way as well.”

And during the post-match celebrations, Salah found time to share that snap on , the post already having earned over 650,000 likes. Speaking after becoming a champion for the second time, he said: “Incredible. Incredible to win the Premier League here with the fans – [it] is something special. You saw that today and you saw it in the game. It’s an incredible feeling to win the Premier League here with Liverpool and the fans.”
Liverpool now have four games of the season remaining. They take on in their next outing, with matches against , and to come.
With the title won, Liverpool captain Van Dijk is determined to see his side continue their celebrations. : “It’s special and something that we don’t take for granted. It’s amazing. It’s amazing what today was. There was a lot of emotions before the game and all week, but we got the job done.
“We are truly deserved champions. [It’s] the most beautiful club in the world and I think [they] deserve all of this. Let’s enjoy the next couple of weeks and let it sink in.”
