Fans of JoJo Siwa are convinced the reality TV star is missing her Celebrity pal Chris Hughes. The belief comes after JoJo, 21, confirmed she is set to reunite with the ex contestant, 32.
The duo became close friends during their time on the series, with some speculating if their friendship could lead to more. The queries intensified after Chris cancelled his upcoming appearance on Celebs Go Dating.
Now, former Dance Moms star JoJo has revealed on TikTok how Chris helped her in the Big Brother house when she had a stye in her eye. She told her fans Chris made her put a teabag on her eye to soothe the issue.
As fans showed the appreciation to the duo in the comments section, one user asked her: "Please come back to the UK, we need updates on you and Chris." It was met by JoJo confessing: "Soon," as she added a love heart emoji.
Her response left others adamant it was a sign she is missing the pundit.
The duo's friendship came in for some scrutiny after some questioned if they were being too close. JoJo, who was engaged when she entered the Big Brother house, called off her engagement to Kath Ebbs at the show's after party.
A joint statement from Chris' rep and a spokesperson for Celebs Go Dating said: "Before entering Big Brother, Chris agreed to join the Celeb's Go Dating agency and having his love life place into the hands of the agents.
"However, after an incredible but very intense experience in Big Brother, he is taking some time to decompress."
The statement continued: "After some joint discussions on both sides, he decided he won't be joining the show this year, but the door is open for the future."
An insider later told the Sun: "Rumours behind the scenes are that his fledgling relationship with JoJo [Siwa] has made him feel going on a dating show would be a bad move."
Chris and JoJo spoke on last week and claimed the relationship is "platonic" between them. In the same interview Chris suggested that they have a "soulmate friendship".
While at A Night with Jojo Siwa over the weekend, the singer also teased that Chris has become a "vital part" of her life.
Following the event at Stanford University in , on . She then responded to several reactions from fans who mentioned Chris in the comments section of her post on the platform. Teasing over the future, JoJo appeared to express hope that they get to work together on a spin-off TV show moving forward.
One fan reacted to the post in the comments, saying: "You're glowing Joelle, so happy!!! Loved the speech you gave about Chris. We're all rooting for you both."
It prompted a response from JoJo, who wrote beside an emoji depicting hearts: "Thank you." Someone else said: "The UK is rooting for you and Mr Hughes JoJo." JoJo responded to them with three heart emojis.
