Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been living under tight security ever since his friend and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in Mumbai. Salman was allegedly accused of his death and has since received multiple threats from the Bishnoi gang. Now, a PTI report has confirmed that Salman has received another death threat allegedly from a Bishnoi gang member.

Sources said the Mumbai Police's Traffic Control Unit received the threatening message on Monday evening. The message read, "This is Lawrence Bishnoi's brother. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our [Bishnoi community] temple and apologise or pay Rs 5 crore. If he doesn't do so, we will kill him; our gang is still active."

The police have begun an investigation and are trying to trace the sender of the message. The incident came to light when an officer on duty at the traffic control room read the message around midnight. Meanwhile, the police have arrested a man from Jamshedpur in connection with the Salman Khan case. The accused has been identified as vegetable vendor Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mousin (24), who threatened Salman to extort money.

Shaikh sent a message to Mumbai traffic police officials on October 18, demanding money to spare Salman's life. It read, "Don't take this lightly; if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end the feud with Lawrence Bishnoi, he will have to pay Rs 5 crore. If the money is not paid, Salman Khan's condition will be worse than Baba Siddiqui." Three days later, Shaikh sent another message apologising for the threat and calling it a mistake.

Salman started receiving death threats after he was accused of hunting and killing two blackbucks during the shooting of his film Hum Saath Saath Hain in Rajasthan in 1998. Since the blackbucks are considered sacred to the Bishnoi sect, the incident sparked widespread outrage. However, in a recent interview, Salman's father Salim Khan denied his involvement and said that Salman did not kill the blackbucks.
