Many investors had earlier applied on the CRCS Sahara refund portal, but their refund got stuck due to paperwork deficiencies, incorrect bank details or technical problems. Now the government has given an opportunity to rectify these deficiencies. The new re-submission portal (mocresubmit.crcs.gov.in) has been specially created for those people whose first application had some deficiency or whose payment failed.
How to apply again?
This time the process has been made simpler so that you can get your money back without any hassle. Let's understand step-by-step what you need to do.
- First of all go to the portal mocresubmit.crcs.gov.in .
- Enter your 14 digit Claim Request Number (CRN) and captcha code. You would have received this number at the time of your previous application.
- If your CRN is correct, the portal will fetch your Aadhaar details and send an OTP to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. Login by entering the OTP.
- After logging in, you will be told what was missing in your previous application. Read it carefully and upload the required documents, such as proof of investment, Aadhaar card, bank details or passbook.
- Generate the form after correcting all the deficiencies. Print it, sign it and scan it and upload it. Note, once the form is generated, it cannot be changed.
- Proof of investment, such as deposit receipt or passbook.
- Aadhaar card and mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
- PAN card if the claim is more than Rs 50,000.
- Bank account linked to Aadhaar.
After re-submission, your application will be processed within 45 days. If everything goes well, your money will be directly transferred to your bank account.
Why is this occasion special?
This process of recovering the money stuck in Sahara is going on under the supervision of the Supreme Court. The government has clarified that this process is completely transparent and in the interest of investors. In the first phase, refunds of up to Rs 5,000 crore are being given, and every investor can get up to Rs 10,000 initially.
