Raw bananas are rich in bound phenolics, which have a prebiotic effect. This helps good bacteria reach our stomach and small intestine and helps in improving digestion.
Raw bananas are less sweet because they contain less sugar than yellow bananas. Apart from this, raw bananas also contain more resistant starch which can help in maintaining healthy blood sugar levels. The glycemic index of raw green bananas is around 30 which is right for diabetic patients.
Raw bananas contain such nutrients which are considered excellent for heart health. Like ripe bananas, it also contains potassium which helps in maintaining blood pressure and regulates heart rhythm.
