Team India pacer Mohammed Siraj broke his silence on his gesture after dismissing Brydon Carse on day two of the third Test at the Lord's Cricket Ground. With Siraj paying tribute to late footballer Diogo Jota by gesturing his jersey number of 20, the Hyderabad-born cricketer said life is so unpredictable.
In a tragic day for the sporting fraternity, Liverpool and Portugal striker Jota passed away in a car accident in Spain, with his brother Andre Silva also losing his life. Renowned sporting personalities across the globe paid tribute to the 28-year-old.

"Last match mein jab hum aa rahe they toh pata chala ki Diogo Jota ka accident mein death ho gaya hai. Main Portugal ka fan hoon kyunki CR7 us team se khelta hai. Emotional feel hua mujhe, mujhe last mein hee karna tha. Life is very unpredictable yaar, hum kiske liye kar rahe hain, kal ka pata hee nahin hai, life ka kuch bharosa nahin hai. Mujhe ekdum shock ho gaya, yeh kaise ho sakta hai woh bhi car accident mein. Aaj mujhe wicket mili toh yeh socha ki yeh gesture karun, Diogo Jota Jersey No.20."
(During the last match, we came to know Diogo Jota had died in an accident. I'm Portugal team's fan because Cristiano Ronaldo plays for it. I was emotional and wanted to perform the gesture in the previous match itself. Life is so unpredictable, there is no promise of tomorrow. I was shocked that it happened, that too in a car accident. So, when I got a wicket, I planned to do that gesture.)
A heartfelt gesture!
