Chandigarh: Led by former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and state Congress president Udai Bhan, a number of party workers held a protest against ED chargesheet on the senior party leader Sonia Gandhi and Lok Sabha leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
Other leaders who also led the protest, staged in Sector 9, here, included party co-incharge Jitendra Baghel, working presidents, Jitendra Bhardwaj, Suresh Gupta, Ramkishan Gujjar, MPs Deepender Hooda and several current and former MLAs.

The Chandigarh police which stopped the protesters by blocking their movement and by erecting barricades, detained them and were later released.
Speaking on the occasion, Hooda said that the action being taken against the Congress leadership is condemnable and unfortunate. ``The National Herald case has been converted into a money laundering case and a chargesheet has been presented after 10 years, whereas this is a no-profit-no-loss trust. This is a political vendetta against our top leaders’’, he held.
