Different Types of Indian Passports
Blue passport (normal passport)
Blue passport is issued to the common citizens of India. This is the most common type of passport and is called an "Ordinary Passport" or "Regular Passport". This passport is issued to students, tourists, businessmen, or people traveling normally.

This passport is issued with the option of 36 or 60 pages.

This passport is marked "E-Passport", which means that it has an electronic chip that stores the biometric information of the holder.

This passport allows entry to some countries based on India's diplomatic status for visa-free travel.

White passport (Government passport)

The blue passport is called an "Official passport" or "Service passport". This passport is issued to employees and officers of the Government of India for their official tours.

This passport can be used only for official work, not for personal travel.

It is marked "Official Passport" and is different from a normal passport.

These passport holders may get visa exemptions or special facilities in some countries.

The maroon or reddish-brown colored passport is called a "Diplomatic passport" and is issued to high-level officials, diplomats the President, Prime Minister, Ministers, etc. of India.

The holders of this passport get diplomatic immunity internationally.

It has "Diplomatic Passport" written on it and it is considered the most prestigious passport.

These passport holders can travel to many countries without a visa.
