For over three decades, Shah Rukh Khan has been the face of love, charm, and timeless cinema. Whether it’s Raj waiting on a train platform in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge or Rizwan Khan spreading humanity in My Name Is Khan, his films have defined generations. And now, as the superstar turns 60, fans have another reason to celebrate; his most loved classics are finally streaming online.
Shah Rukh Khan's classics on OTT
In a major announcement just before Shah Rukh’s birthday, Netflix has partnered with Yash Raj Films (YRF) to bring a treasure trove of Bollywood classics to the streaming platform. This special collaboration will feature a curated collection of iconic YRF movies, rolled out in phases to coincide with major festivals, film milestones, and star birthdays.
Starting this week, Netflix users can revisit some of Shah Rukh Khan’s most unforgettable performances, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Mohabbatein, Dil To Pagal Hai, Veer-Zaara, and Chak De! India. These titles mark SRK’s golden era with Yash Raj Films, reminding fans of why he continues to be called the “King of Romance.”
But it’s not just Shah Rukh who’s getting the OTT spotlight. As part of the partnership, Salman Khan’s blockbuster films, Ek Tha Tiger, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai, are also set to premiere on Netflix from December 27, just in time for his birthday celebrations. This rollout brings together two of Bollywood’s biggest superstars on one streaming platform, reigniting a wave of nostalgia among audiences.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh celebrated his milestone birthday on November 2 midnight with an intimate gathering at his Alibaug residence, surrounded by close friends and family. Filmmaker Farah Khan, one of SRK’s closest collaborators, shared adorable photos from the celebration on Instagram. In one image, she’s seen giving him a warm hug; in another, she plants a kiss on his cheek. Her heartfelt caption read, “Happy birthday KING @iamsrk … rule for another 100 years.”
Across the world, fans also joined in the celebration. From lighting up landmarks to organising charity events and dance flash mobs, Shah Rukh’s admirers proved once again that his influence goes far beyond the big screen. Social media was flooded with tributes, fan art, and emotional posts that hailed him as the Badshah of Bollywood, a title he continues to live up to even after 30 years in the industry.
Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming project
Looking ahead, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to return to the big screen in King, directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously worked with him on Pathaan. The film stars Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhishek Bachchan, and reportedly, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, and Raghav Juyal. Currently in production, King is expected to be released in 2026.
Happiest Birthday, King Khan!
