Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Tuesday commended Forest Beat Officer GS Roshni of the Paruthipalli Range in Kerala for rescuing a large king cobra, a moment captured in a widely circulated video.
The video, initially shared by X user Rajan Medhekar, shows Roshni calmly capturing the cobra using a stick and placing it into a sack. The snake, identified as an 18-foot-long king cobra—one of the world’s most venomous reptiles—was reportedly found in the Peppara area of Thiruvananthapuram by local residents.
