July 2025 Hindu Festival: Check important dates from Shravan, Devshayani Ekadashi, Hariyali Teej & more

For followers of Sanatan Dharma, July holds deep spiritual significance as it marks the beginning of the holy month of Shravan (Sawan), starting on 11 July. This sacred period is especially important for devotees of Lord Shiva, who observe various fasts and rituals throughout the month.

Another major religious observance is Devshayani Ekadashi, which falls on 6 July this year. Also known as Ashadha Shukla Paksha Ekadashi, this day marks the beginning of Chaturmas, the four-month holy period in the Hindu calendar. As per Drik Panchang, it is believed that Lord Vishnu goes into a divine slumber on this day and awakens on Prabodhini Ekadashi, four months later. Devshayani Ekadashi typically occurs after the Jagannath Rath Yatra and is observed during June or July.
