Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday said that 19 Covid patients are currently admitted to hospitals in Delhi, but added that there is no reason for the public to panic.
Speaking to reporters at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital, she assured that the Delhi government is fully prepared.
“Nineteen patients are admitted in hospitals and the rest are being treated at home. But Covid-19 hasn’t reached a worrying level. The government is ready for any situation,” she said.
However, Gupta also reminded people to stay cautious and follow health guidelines.
As per official data, Delhi had 104 active Covid-19 cases as of Monday. Health officials confirmed that 24 patients have recovered in the past week.
To stay prepared, the Delhi government last week issued an advisory to hospitals. It asked them to make sure beds, medicines, and oxygen are available.
